Jacks or Better
Video Poker
Jacks or Better is probably the most
popular video poker games. The game of Jacks or
Better starts out with the player being dealt
five cards from the dealer. Once the five cards
are dealt the player must then decide which
cards they will keep or “hold”. Then the player
discards the unwanted cards for new ones by
selecting the deal button.
If the final
hand consists of at least a pair of Jacks or
better it is a winning hand. For example, if you
have a pair of kings you have a winning hand. If
you have a pair of nines your hand has lost. All
winning hands are paid out based on the paytable.
When playing
Jacks or Better, playing more coins increases
the payouts on winning hands.
Jacks or Better
Rules:
-
Hands are
graded based on the pay table
-
Cards are
dealt from a single deck
-
Cards are
re-shuffled each hand
-
Player has
the option to discard up to five cards.
If you are
playing multiple hands of Jacks or Better each
game is a separate game from the other. Each
separate hand must have at least a pair of Jacks
for that hand to win. If you were playing three
hands simultaneously, it is possible to win two
of the hands and to lose one, win all three,
lose all three, or win one hand and lose two
hands. The payouts for winning hands would be
based on the payout table.
