Baccarat
The objective of
Baccarat is to predict which of the two hands
that is about to be dealt will be closer to
having a value of 9. The two hands are the
Banker and the Player.
In Baccarat you
are playing against the banker. All bets are
placed in the Tie, Banker and Player areas on
the table. The cards are dealt from a deck that
is referred to as a shoe. The shoe contains
anywhere from six to eight standard 52-card
decks. The decks do not contain any jokers.
Each bet that you
place is treated as a separate wager against the
banker.
Two hands of cards
are dealt, one for the Player and one for the
Banker. Each hand will contain either two or
three cards.
If the value of
the cards in either the Player's Hand or the
Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a "natural") after
receiving their initial two cards then no more
cards shall be dealt to either hand.
If the first two
cards dealt to the Player or the Banker is equal
to five or less, then the hand will be dealt a
third card. The following charts show the rules
for when the player and banker are dealt a third
card.

NOTE: If the
Player's hand stands on two cards (6, 7), then a
two-card Banker hand totaling 3, 4, and 5 must
draw and a Banker hand totaling 6 must stand.
The winning hand
is the one that is closest to nine. The value of
the hand is calculated by adding up the value of
the cards. Face cards and 10s have no value in
Baccarat and Aces are worth 1 point. All of the
other cards are counted at face value.
If the value of
your hand exceeds nine it is adjusted by
removing the tens column. For example if you are
dealt a nine and a seven which totals 16, when
you remove the tens column the adjusted hand
total is 6. Some other examples are, if you are
dealt five, five, and five for a total of 15,
your hand value is 5. If you are dealt a ten and
a nine your hand value is a 9 which is also
called a Natural.
Once the winning
hand is determined the game is over. If the hand
you bet on wins you will be paid out according
to the payout table.
When the Player
and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand
is declared a Tie. A tie that you did not bet on
pays back your ante.
When the Player's
hand is completed then Banker's hand is played
out.
Once the banker's
hand is complete, the Player’s hand is compared
to the Banker's hand and win(s), loss(es) or
tie(s) are determined and your online casino
account balance is adjusted accordingly.
