Caribbean Holdem Poker
How to Play Caribbean Holdem
Poker
Caribbean Holdem Poker
combines the fun and excitement of Caribbean
Stud Poker and Texas Holdem Poker. Caribbean
Holdem Poker is played against the casino and
not against any other players.
 |
You start out the game by
placing an initial bet which is called the Ante.
Once you have placed your bet you will be dealt
two cards face up and the dealer will be dealt
two cards face down. Three community cards are
then dealt face up.
If you don't think your hand
is good enough to win then you can choose to
fold. If you fold you will lose your Ante bet.
|
If you feel that you have a
hand that can win and want to continue playing
you must Raise. The Raise bet will double your
Ante bet. For example, if your Ante bet was $10
your Raise bet will be $20.
Two more cards are then dealt
face up. This gives a total of five community
cards. You can use some or all of the community
cards and the two cards that were dealt to you
face up to form your best possible five card
poker hand.
The dealers hand must
"qualify". This means that the dealer must at
least have an Ace and a King. If the dealer does
not have at least an Ace and a King and does not
qualify you win your Ante bet. Your Raise bet is
returned to you. It is considered a push.
If the dealers hand does
qualify you will win both the Ante and Raise
bets. The amount that you win on your Ante bet
is based on your hand. The Ante Payout table
below lists the payouts.
At the Bodog Casino if you get
a Royal Flush on these first five cards you
automatically win the Progressive Jackpot.
Caribbean Holdem Poker also
offers a chance to win a Progressive Jackpot.
The Progressive Jackpot is a "side bet". You can
win the Progressive Jackpot or a portion of the
Progressive Jackpot whether the dealers hand
qualifies or not.
For example if you were dealt
a full house but the dealers hand did not
qualify you only win your Ante bet. But if you
also placed a side bet on the Progressive
Jackpot you would win $100 from the Progressive
Jackpot.
If the dealers hand did
qualify, you would win your Ante bet which with
a full house pays 3:1, the Raise bet and a $100
bet from the progressive jackpot!
To play the Progressive
Jackpot all you need to do is click the
progressive jackpot slot. This places a $1 side
bet for the progressive jackpot. Then click deal
to deal the hand. The progressive jackpot bet
can only be placed before the hand is dealt.
You can win the progressive
jackpot or a portion of it by getting one of the
five following hands:
- Flush - any five cards
of one suit. - Pays out $75 for the
progressive jackpot.
- Full House - 3 of a
Kind with a Pair. - Pays out $100 for
the progressive jackpot.
- 4 of a Kind - any hand
of four like cards. - Pays out $500 for
the progressive jackpot.
- Straight Flush - Five
consecutive cards of the same suit in a
row. - Pays out 10% of the progressive
jackpot.
- Royal Flush - 10,
Jack, Queen, King, Ace of the same suit.
- Pays out 100% of the progressive
jackpot.
Caribbean Holdem Poker shares
a progressive jackpot with Caribbean Stud Poker
allowing the jackpot to accumulate quickly.
